This Privacy Policy describes how Ecadorado Analytics S.A.S. (hereinafter “Ecadorado”, “we”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data of visitors to and subscribers of the ecadorado.com website.
1. Data controller
Ecadorado Analytics S.A.S., Tax ID (RUC) 1793257864001, with registered office at Av. Naciones Unidas E7-95 & Av. de los Shyris, Metropolitan Building, Floor 8, Quito, Ecuador, is the controller of your personal data under Ecuador's Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPDP, 2021) and its regulations.
2. Data we collect
We collect: (a) data you voluntarily provide when subscribing to the newsletter (name, email address); (b) technical data generated by your browser (IP address, device type, language, pages visited); (c) data generated by cookies according to the preferences you declare in the cookie banner.
3. Purposes of processing
We use your data to: send the informational newsletter you subscribed to; respond to your requests; measure site usage in aggregate; comply with legal obligations or requirements from competent Ecuadorian authorities.
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on your free, specific and informed consent, granted when ticking the subscription form checkbox and accepting this policy, and on Ecadorado's legitimate interest in preventing fraud and protecting the security of the site.
5. Who we share your data with
We share data only with: email and hosting providers under a data processor agreement; Ecuadorian authorities when a duly grounded order exists. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
6. International transfers
Some technology providers are located outside Ecuador. In such cases we apply standard contractual clauses and verify that the destination country provides an adequate level of protection under article 56 of the LOPDP.
7. Retention period
We keep your name and email for as long as your subscription lasts and for up to 24 months after unsubscribing for audit purposes. Technical logs are retained for a maximum of 12 months.
8. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, update, deletion, objection, portability and limitation of processing by writing to hola@ecadorado.com. We will respond within 15 days. You may also file a complaint before the Superintendence for the Protection of Personal Data of Ecuador.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), access controls, audit logs, annual review of providers and an internal incident-handling policy.
10. Minors
The site is not directed at minors under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you detect such a case, contact us and we will proceed with deletion.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The current version will be published on this page with the update date.
